         2. Applied physics

         3. Engineering chemistry

         4. Environmental studies

         5. English

         6. English Lab

         7. MEFA

         8. MS

         9. SOFT SKILLS

Engineering Maths provides computing ability, knowledge of various.
Equations in calculus.  Various quantitative methods are taught.
Applied physics subject introduces concepts and theory which are must for an engineer. Electrical magnetic, dielectric semi conducting   and super conducting properties are also dealt in the subject.
Engineering chemistry deals with corrosion polymer technology and water technology.
Environmental studies is recently introduced to impact environmental awareness and explain the need of pollution free environment. Also deals with renewable and non renewable sources of energy.
Technical English  writing, pronunciation accent vocabulary and communication skills were dealt in English classes and English lab.
Economics of a firm financial analysis of Institute and management skills are dealt in the subjects managerial economics and financial analysis and management science.
1. The English lab. is equipped with 67 computers, LCD projecter, Web-cam, LAN facility, AC lab. and all the prescribed software like ROSETTA (All English learning, speaking softwares) for the students to get benefited for improving their English speaking skills. We are also proud to say that our English Faculty is outstanding in bringing innovative techniques and teach plethora of English spoken skills to the contentment of student mind-set.

2. Knowledge and understanding of Mathematics is required for Engineers. However, engineers are becoming more specialized and in the later stages of engineering degrees, they directly depend on Mathematics by gaining specific knowledge of higher mathematics.

3. Applied Physics provides basic understanding of various physical phenominae and how to use these ideas in different fields of engineering & technology. The subject is suited for the students of ECE, CSE, EEE and CSIT branches. The course has contents on Semiconductors, Magnetism, Superconductivity, Lasers and Nanotechnology. Nanotechnology is interdisciplinary in content. It is THE technology of  present and future generation.

4. Engineering Physics provides basic understanding of various physical phenomenae and how to use these ideas in different fields of engineering and technology. It is suited for Mechanical Engineers. The course contents are Interference, Diffraction, Polarization of Light, Lasers and Nanotechnology.

5. Engineering Physics Lab. creats wide range of practical knowledge about Optics, EM fields and Mechanics. Few of the instruments that the lab is equipped with are Newton's Rings, Wedge Film, AC Sonometer, Spectrometer etc.

6. Engineering Chemistry is concerned with the study of wide range materials used for different purposes such as Construction in general, Generation and Transmission of Energy, Fuels and Lubricants, Various Industrial troubles like Corrossion, Boiler Troubles and Maintenance of equipment etc. So this subject has vital role in Engineering aspects like Mechanical, Civil, Production etc. for the 1st B.Tech students.

7. Environmental Studies & Engineering is a need for sustainable development which is a key to the future of mankind. Recognizing this and deteriorating status of Environment due to various Industries and rapid human population growth, the Supreme Court of India has directed the UGC and AICTE to introduce a basic course on Environmental Education to be implemented by all Colleges and Universities across the country. Single semester course modulated syllabus for all 2nd Year B.Tech students as a credit course has been introducted at SSIT. The main aim of the course is to create an eco-based technological development and its impacts in India.

8a. Managerial Economics & Financial Analysis (MEFA) is the concept and tool of familarizing engineers with business knowledge. It facilitates to know about different concepts like economics, demand forecasting, cost analysis. Engineers can be in a position to know about the growth and performance of the company by analyzing different techniques of Finance like Capital Budgeting and Ratios.

8b. Management Science is one of the imporant disciplines, which helps the engineers to have knowledge about Management, different structures of organization, marketing management, techniques of project management. Brief discussion about management practices like Just-in-Time, Total Quality Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Process Outsourcing.

9. Soft Skills is being introduced for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students to pursue their career. A team of 12 faculty has been identified to conduct the classes.
