Sai Spurhi institute of Technology Introduced Mechanical Branch in the Year 2004 with a Vision to Empower the students in Mechanical Engineering Stream.The Mechanical department has fully equipped Mechaniacl Labs ,Like Thermal Engineering ,Heat Transfer ,Machine Tools ,Production Technology ,Mechanics of Solids ,Metrology and Instrumentation , Hydraulic Machines Lab , CAD/CAM Lab and Work shop

             The Departments Intake capacity is 60 Students for every year. Senior faculty with various specializations and good industry back ground.

           The department has total of 15 faculty members .Of them 2 are in the cadre of professor,2 in Associate Professor ,3 in Sr.Asst Professor and 8 in Cadre of Asst Professor.The department is maintaining 1: 18 faculty to student ratio with sufficient, Spacious class rooms and 3 Drawing Halls .

           From Day one of Inception of Department Mr.K.Sreenivas Rao is heading the Department with rich experience of 10 years in Teaching line and most of the faculty in department are ratified by JNTU –Hyderabad, well experienced and Post graduates in Mechanical Engineering Stream.

          The department under the supervision of HOD is running Student Counseling Cell in which the students with less percentage of Marks and odd behavior will be traced out depending upon day to day behavior and attendance. They will be counseled and morale is bought up so that their percentage of marks and behavior will be upgraded.

        The Department in coordination with college placement cell has placed most of the Mechanical Engineering students in various reputed Core Industries and Soft ware industries
